Friendly, social, easy-going

This handsome hunk was found living at a commercial fishing harbor in Rockport TX. It's a tough, competitive environment for a kitty, but Sailor must have charmed fishermen into keeping him well-supplied with fresh-caught fish. He was even friendly with the other cats living there.

Sailor is a kitty who knows what he wants! When a cat rescue group started working with the cats at the harbor, Sailor marched right up to a rescuer's car and tried to get in, not just once but several times. It was clear that he intended to go with them, so the rescuer just picked him up, plopped him into a carrier, and Sailor's new life began!

Sailor is now living large in a foster home. He received the medical care he needed, and he's now a strong and robust guy. He has tested positive for Feline Leukemia; FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. He can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

Sailor is so friendly and outgoing with people! He'll greet you with happy meows and tell you all about his day. He even greets strangers and asks them for head scratches. He loves to be brushed and will let you brush him for as long as you're willing. He loves lounging in a tall cat tree next to a sunny window. We're sure he's made friends with every tree and bird he sees. As if all that's not enough, he has the biggest, chonkiest cheeks you've ever seen!

Sailor would fit well into almost any home. If you're looking for an easy-going, friendly and social new kitty, contact us today to arrange a meet-and-greet!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
