Curious, Reserved, Observant
Banana is the type of lady who likes to take in her surroundings before jumping into the action. She takes a little bit of time to warm up to a new environment, but in her defense -she is pretty tiny and the world is a big place!
Taking a step back to observe and assess a situation is definitely the way Banana prefers to approach anything new. She can be more confident with a fellow kitten around to learn from! Right now, her foster sister is her easiest friend and ally, and she would do well in a home with a confident and social feline like her sister around to let lead the way in her fur-ever home.
A more relaxed home environment would be beneficial for Banana. She appreciates humans who are able to be patient with her, and allow her to take the time she needs to adjust. She does well with food bribes, and warms up easiest when able to fill her belly with delicious wet food at the same time!
Banana is a soft brown tabby with big curious eyes that draw you in. It may not be visible at first due to her shy nature, but she is missing a tail! She is like a little bunny slinking around while finding new places to observe from!
Banana is searching for loving and patient humans who understand she may not be the cuddliest cat even once she has settled in and feels comfortable. She would be a great counterpart to an overly social kitty who can make Banana feel more at ease (and lead the way in social settings). If you have an understanding heart and are hoping to add a kitten who is more on the shy side to your family, contact APA! today to adopt Banana!
Banana has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Banana can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
