Energetic, chatty, curious

Pigeon is a girl who knows what she wants! She was found by a kind person who heard her shouting from down the block during a thunderstorm! When the person went out to investigate, Pigeon ran right up to her and jumped into her arms to demand food, pets, and a dry place to sleep.

Pigeon is in the last stages of supercharged kitten energy, so she still regularly gets the zoomies. She adores paper bags and mouse toys. She can sometimes get over-enthusiastic about chasing toys and may forget that your hand or arm is not a toy to be attacked. Her foster is working on this with her, and with consistent redirection, she should grow out of it. Just give her lots of playtime and a good sturdy toy that she can bunny-kick when she's feeling especially fierce. She also enjoys a nice solid scratching post and a sunny windowsill for bird-watching.

Pigeon is quite chatty and has a unique meow that sounds like a duck quack! She "quacks" whenever you call her by name, and chirps whenever you come into the room.

Pigeon loves to be held like a baby and get chin skritches, and she enjoys drive-by pets during the day. She's not currently much of a lap-sitter, but she may learn to love that as she grows older.

As soon as she came home with her foster, Pigeon established herself as Miss Bossypants with her foster's 40-lb dog. She claimed her favorite spots and made it clear that these spots are hers and hers alone.

Pigeon is highly food-motivated and has becomes a bit, shall we say, "well-upholstered." Her new person should measure out her food rather than free-feeding her, and not go overboard with treats. Pigeon is not above eating the dog's food, so her access to other pets' food will need to be monitored.

In short, Pigeon is a real character with many unique qualities. She's no garden-variety generic kitty for sure. If you're looking for a special kitty with star quality, contact us today to arrange a meet-and-greet!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
