Gorgeous, Affectionate, Poised

Petrichor is the smell of the rain on soil after a long dry spell, a perfect name for this comforting, green-eyed cat. He's the strong silent type, who says everything with those gentle eyes and long, fluffy tail.

Petrichor stands out among the crowd with his beautiful, shiny fur that fades from black to burnt orange, right down to his adorable toe tufts. Don't sleep on his magical purr, which will hypnotize you while you snuggle.

And anyone who spends time with Petrichor should be prepared to snuggle, because this guy is extremely affectionate. He loves giving head butts, making air biscuits, and flopping down next to you for pets - just don't touch that belly!

This sweet, friendly kitty is shy at first, but we're pretty sure he'll come out of his shell when he feels safe in a home environment. He loves snuggling with his shelter buddy Criminal Gooberton (112010) - shy guys stick together, you know - in a cozy covered bed, and greets his friends with a soft nose boop. Petrichor would love a calm, quiet home, and even a kitty friend or two if they're on his wavelength!

And to top it all off, Petrichor gives amazing kitty hugs - why not meet him and find out for yourself?

Petrichor has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Petrichor can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
