Observant, Sweet, Cautious

Root Beer Float is the kind of lady who engages with people in her own time. She takes a little bit to warm up to new people, but once she does her sweet nature makes all of the patience worth it!

Treats are the easiest way to Root Beer Float's heart! She can't seem to resist those churu lickable treats, and will make friends with any human to get to eat some! As she comes out of her shell, Root Beer Float communicates with her humans through sweet little chirps. She has all of the potential to be a cuddly lap cat once she has jumped over the initial trust obstacle!

Root Beer Float adores other felines, and would thrive in a home environment where she can interact with other cats often. They can also help her come out of her shell a little faster! She goes out of her way to find other cats in her foster home, and seems to let more of her personality shine when she can be snuggling or interacting with another cat. She has a social personality, it just shines much quicker with cats over humans!

Root Beer Float has been neutral with the dogs she has interacted with. She could coexist well with an independent dog who won't seek her out for attention.

Root Beer Float's sweet side is worth the wait! She may take an interaction or five to warm up to her humans, but when she is comfortable and able to be her true self - it truly is well worth it! Contact APA! today to see if Root Beer Float can begin her unwinding process, and relax into the affectionate cat she is meant to be with your family! Bonus points if you already have at least one cat at home!

Root Beer Float has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Root Beer Float can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
