Oopsy Dazey loves for you to rub his belly! And when he knows that it's Snuggle Time, he will proactively start purring - and curl up on your lap!

Oopsy is always excited to play with his toys and will "swim" around chasing the wand toy. He will also roll around and play with jingle balls and kicker toys. At this point he swims and rolls around because he came to APA! with "swimmer syndrome", which means that his back legs were splayed out in a frog-like way. It's treatable with time and physical therapy!

His physical therapy involves range of motion exercises and a narrow chute that he walks through several times a day. The chute prevents his legs from splaying out when walking, while building strength and muscle memory in his back legs. He is a good student!

Oopsy loves to wrestle with his brothers, and regularly takes them down, wrestlemania style - despite not having full use of his back legs!

Oopsy was also discovered to have a spinal fracture, which gave him urinary incontinence; this means he can't pee on his own, and needs his human to "express" his bladder (press gently on it) a few times a day to help him go. He has fecal incontinence at this point, though that may or may not be temporary.

Despite his challenges, Oopsy has such a great spirit! He is a spunky little guy and brings joy to everyone who meets him. See more about the amazing Oopsy Dazey on Instagram! @smittenwithkittensatx

Oopsy has a great appetite and looks forward to mealtimes! He has a great appetite and gusto for life, too. Contact us today to learn more and arrange a meet & greet with this very special boy!

Oopsy Dazey has urinary/fecal incontinence and requires some extra medical care, which may include a regulated diet and/or manual expression. Incontinent cats are frequently overlooked, but not all incontinent cats require the same amount or type of care, and some simply require a routine with very little special care! And in every other way, Oopsy is fun, loving, and a great companion. For more information about Oopsy's care, prognosis and support, please contact APA!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
