Gentle, Sweet, Senior

Meet Grasshopper! This sweet senior kitty will certainly not be jumping around like a grasshopper, but he does have the gentleness of one. He's a loving, tranquil, old soul of a cat.

Grasshopper doesn't ask for much in playtime or affection. He's purr-fectly content to just hang out nearby all day long on a warm blanket. If he wants pets, he'll slowly inch closer and closer to you, staring deeply into your eyes, until he gets across the message. He doesn't often ask for snuggles, but he'll fall soundly asleep if you put him in your lap. He'll never turn down lazy cuddles with his humans!

Grasshopper will melt your heart with his soul-searching gaze and endearingly serious expressions. His age has earned him a rugged coat and the funniest, raspy meow. He's ready to spend the rest of his years in a comfortable, loving home.

Grasshopper's lived mostly harmoniously with a cat roommate in his foster home, but we think he'd enjoy being a solo cat. As an elderly cat, of course he has some issues, including kidney disease, arthritis, and ear issues. He is super easy to care for and simply needs a loving home with people who will keep him comfortable.

Grasshopper still has lots of love to share! Contact us today to arrange a meet and greet.

Grasshopper has Chronic Kidney Disease, which means his kidneys are not functioning as well as they once were. This condition is so common in older cats that APA! offers a special adoption package for them. Read more about renal failure and adoption details here: https://bit.ly/2YudG90

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
