Shy, Sweet, Gentle

First Snow is a shy, sweet, tabby gal, who is starting to blossom in the spring! She can be skittish at first, but when she trusts you, she loves a chin and head scratch! She has soft, thick, short hair, and cute little white socks. She has really unique, copper-colored eyes.

First Snow was surrendered to a shelter in Houston and spent the next 3 months absolutely terrified. She lost her home and the only people who loved her and was so confused and shutdown in the shelter. She was at risk for euthanasia but luckily found safety in Austin with APA. She found some excellent hiding places when she first got into her foster home, but with time and patience, she has opened and shown her sweet side.

First Snow is a low-key kitty, she loves napping on the bed or in the window all day. She'll happily accepts pets and scritches, but most of the time doesn't seek them out. She gives space to other cats and happily cohabitates with them. She will play now and then, but mostly loves relaxing in a quiet place. She is a chatty gal though with people -- as soon as you walk in she starts meowing. It's like she is having a little conversation with you. But she is perfectly quiet while you work or leave the room. She is an excellent work-from-home coworker.

First Snow would do best in a quiet home and would likely do well with low-energy cats who understand space. But more than anything she would love some patient people who would give her the time to feel comfortable and open up. If you have a spare windowsill or comfy chair, First Snow would love to call it home!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
