Social, Affectionate, Glamorous
The first thing everyone notices about Trixie is that she is absolutely gorgeous! Her luscious coat is a stunning combination of plush black with hints of smoky gray, and just look at that super fluffy tail...magnificent!
Trixie not only hit the jackpot when it comes to good looks, she also cleaned up in the personality department. She is a friendly, curious kitty who is the perfect combination of affectionate and self-sufficient.
Trixie likes to greet you with an inviting roll and stretch, followed by a gentle nose bump. It's the cutest! After she's spent a little time getting to know you, she likes sitting near you or climbing into your lap. She enjoys hanging out where her people are, but she is also fine relaxing on her own.
Trixie has so much fun playing with interactive toys! She loves catching feather wands that you wave around, and especially likes if you hide them under a blanket. This playful girl also loves running and jumping through tunnels, wrestling with her catnip banana and going after small toys that she can snag and toss.
Trixie is very in sync with her foster family's schedule. She is playful and high-energy in the morning, then becomes more chill in the afternoon. Around dinner time she gets another little burst of energy, then winds down again at night.
During Trixie's lounging time she enjoys watching the world through windows, climbing up her cat perch, hanging out with her humans and taking the occasional cat nap. Give her a snack at bedtime and she will be set for the night.
If you talk to Trixie, she will talk back with her chirpy meow! She will let you know if she wants something or is hungry, but otherwise she is pretty quiet. She is such a well-mannered kitty who uses horizontal cardboard scratchpads for scratching and is a perfect lady when it comes to using her litter box.
We think Trixie would prefer a home where she is the sole kitty. The rambunctious, young cats in her foster home make her tense and uneasy. It's possible she would tolerate calm cats from a distance if they stay out of her space. But, she is happiest when she is the one and only feline.
Trixie is such a sweet, people-oriented, overall splendid girl! She would be a fantastic companion for someone who as at home most of the day - calmly hanging out with you or chasing after a wand toy if you're in the mood to play. She is the best!
