Chatty, Snuggly, Curious
Saffy makes fast friends, and will be so bold as to gently bonk you in the face in greeting! She is super affectionate and is definitely not afraid to show it! Her purrs are instantaneous and infectious! She radiates joy and love when cuddles are happening.
It may take Saffy a short adjustment period to relax into her fur-ever home, but once she settles, she is super snuggly and attached! Even once she has gotten her bearings, Saffy loves to continue to roam around and stick her nose into new places she thinks she hasn't explored yet!
She adores being near her humans, and will find any excuse to be in the same areas. If you're willing, Saffy will take up residence on your shoulder and will enjoy the ride while you go about your day!
The snuggles truly last all day and all night with Saffy. She'll climb under the covers in bed with you and stay as close as she can while you sleep - you'll likely wake up to her curled happily on your pillow practically on top of your head! She enjoys following a routine, and will eagerly fit into her human's daily habits. Hopefully you wake up early, because Saffy does - and prefers to have company once she has risen! She's very talkative and will have a full conversation with you or tell you when she wants something - it's usually pets and belly rubs!
Part of Saffy's usual routine is her mealtime and insulin. She is diabetic, and has an easy to follow schedule for both! She needs a home where her humans are able to be around often to maintain this routine (and so she can get all of the cuddles and pets she craves!). For more information, please contact APA!
Saffy has lived with other animals before, and was good with fellow cats and kids, and a respectful dog. She would rather get cuddles and pets than play though and would prefer a furry sibling that is on the more relaxed and snuggly side like she is!
Saffy has stomatitis, which is an inflammation of the mouth. It is typically treated through removal of teeth and supportive care; she is scheduled for some dental extractions soon which should help! She may require some medications and a wet food diet. For more information, please contact APA!
Saffy's curiosity sometimes gets the better of her, and an open door feels like an opportunity to run and explore new territory! Before her stay with APA!, Saffy had been declawed. As a result of this she must remain an indoor cat. She truly enjoys her pampered indoor life, but the unknown is still tempting, so humans who are able to keep an eye out while they go in/out is a must!
