Goofball, Affectionate, A Character

Meet Emmett Otter! This sweet, goofy kitty has a personality big and bold enough to match his striking black and white coat. He'll keep you entertained all day with his antics and cozy all night with his snuggles!

Though he's not quite a kitten anymore, Emmett Otter has the adventurous spirit and friendly curiosity of one! He loves to explore and easily adapts to new situations. He's happy and silly, and he'll make you laugh with his goofball antics and facial expressions.

Emmett Otter is FULL of energy, making playtime his absolute favorite activity. He loves to dart around the room, bat around toy mice and fuzzy balls, chase string toys or the laser pointer--he loves any and all playtime activities! He'll sometimes chirp to himself while he plays, like he just can't contain his excitement! One of his favorite games is running in and out of a three-way tunnel. His former foster used to find his tunnel moved to a new place every morning!

When he takes the time to slow down for a snooze, Emmett Otter is the sweetest snugglebug. His purr motor will roar away when you give him affection, and he loves to be close to you if he's not playing. He likes to sleep on your lap if you're nestled into the couch and by your side on the bed at night.

Because he's so energetic and playful, Emmett Otter would be happiest in a home with another cat friend who he could play with. He's loved hanging out with a kitty foster roommate (even when his roommate didn't always like him), and he's also had positive experiences with older children. He needs an interactive, engaging home with outlets to burn off his energy so he doesn't get bored or into trouble.

If you're looking for a cat full of both energy and snuggles, Emmett Otter might be purr-fect for you!

Emmett Otter has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Emmett Otter can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
