Love Bug, Sweetheart, Ultimate Lap-Cat

If you're looking for a snuggly cat to curl up on your lap all day long, look no further than Chuck Stoat!

Chuck Stoat is the ultimate lap cat. He requires nightly cuddles, preferably cozied up on your chest underneath a blanket. He loves work from home schedules that let him sit on your lap all day long! He's a bit socially needy and absolutely thrives on affection and attention from his people.

We have to stop right here and ask: did you see his eyes?! AMAZING.

Chuck Stoat can be a bit timid at first, but with a little bit of time, he'll warm his way into your heart! Once he's feeling safe and comfortable, he loves to play (in between cuddles, of course). His favorite toy of all is the laser pointer--he's become super-attuned to the clicking noise it makes! He also adores feather toys (but if you buy him some, be prepared for their swift destruction). He's a mostly calm cat and not too high energy, but he does love to run and bat around his toys.

Chuck Stoat has lived peacefully with other cats, but he's also apprehensive in new situations or with new roommates. After being adopted as a kitten, he was returned because he was scared of the other cat in the house. He might be okay with a slow introduction to another cat, but he'd also be perfectly happy as the only cat in the household.

Chuck Stoat would love a home where he can get lots of love and affection, ideally from someone who works at home all day! Because he's more cautious, he needs someone who will be patient and give him time to open up. Once you gain his trust though, you'll be rewarded with the most loving, snuggly sweetheart of a cat!

Chuck Stoat has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Chuck Stoat can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
