Beautiful, Friendly, Engaging

With her triangle face, big yellow eyes, and the way she looks at you, locks in, and gives you her entire attention, Mayra is an enchantress! You can't help but want to connect with this sincere girl with her inviting and captivating personality.

Mayra welcomes attention and pets, and is friendly when meeting new people! She came to APA! with her kittens and has been preoccupied with raising and caring for them, but now that they are moving into their own homes, she has time to soak up more affection from her humans.

And time for her own playtime! As her playfulness shows itself more and more - and we think this young retired mom has an active, playful side - we think her favorite toys might be string toys and toy balls. You will get to explore toys with Mayra! She seems curious and interested in everything.

Mayra will likely need some time to settle into her new home and new life as a single gal! She was stressed in the shelter but quickly relaxed in her foster home, so she probably would do best in a quieter, low-traffic home with adults, young adults, and older kids. We haven't seen her interact with other cats, but seems unperturbed by the resident cats that hang outside her room; she might be fine with a chill cat, given the proper introduction.

Mayra has an exquisite, rich, and shiny black coat, and that rather surprised look on her face she gets now and then is her, paying complete and total attention to you! She is looking for kind and patient people to make a home with, and in return she will give you tons of affection and all of her attention.
