Gentle, Grateful, Affectionate

You'd never know Clarinet lived on his own before coming to APA!. Though this striking tabby reminds us of a rockstar (just look at that eyeliner!), he's much more mellow musician than Metallica. With a peachy tan accented by dark brown necklaces, he's always dressed to go out - but he'd much rather stay indoors.

After likely being abandoned, Clarinet spent a lot of time fending for himself outside. Even though he was found sick, dehydrated, and shot in the back with a pellet gun, he still loves being around people. The pellet was removed from his back, leaving some mild muscle atrophy and a lifetime to make up for how he was treated.

Amazingly, Clarinet doesn't even mind being orally medicated or picked up and weighed! He thinks of it all as affection (and this sweet boy knows he deserves it). While he looks thin thanks to his outdoor adventures, he's surprisingly heavy. He's not shy about leaning in for head rubs, but is happy just to sit by your side while you read, work, or snack.

Speaking of snacks, Clarinet is catching up on all the food he missed. With a huge appetite, he'll happily eat out of the palm of your hand and ask for seconds. If you're looking for a cat companion who prefers snuggles over playtime, Clarinet would thrive in a home where he feels safe and loved.

Clarinet has tested positive for Feline Leukemia, which is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter lifespan. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Clarinet can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
