Ember is a perfect name for this quiet, gentle girl who is so tender and sweet. She has a warm, maternal presence and all her kitty family gravitates towards her for soothing snuggles and reassuring love.

Ember is one of 11 outdoor kitties that was rescued after the owner moved and left them behind. She mothered a litter on next to nothing to eat, nursing them beyond the usual time because there was very little to come by in the way of food. She came to her foster home worn out by her determination to survive. Now she relishes the safety and security of a peaceful indoor life where food, comfort and love are always plentiful.

Ember has become quite the lounge cat! She can almost always be found resting on her favorite bathroom shelf. Often she has 2 or 3 other kitties piled around or on top of her. She is their safe base and never refuses them, and they absolutely adore her. She is such a gorgeous kitty with her classic tabby good looks, adorable ear points and a spectacularly fluffy tail!

Ember doesn't pine for affection, but gladly welcomes it. Her perfect home would be a quiet and serene setting, ideally with older kids or adults. She definitely would do best with another cat, maybe even one of her family members. She loves the comfort of her cat companions and is happiest when she has a kitty to nurture.

Embers maternal instincts run deep - she lets everyone else eat, play, and get love first - never requesting anything for herself. She has such a sweet spirit, that you can't help but dote on her. She asks for nothing, which makes you want to give her everything.
