Meet Speckles!

This beautiful tortie gal is the perfect mix between playful and snuggly. We're totally charmed!

Speckles is outgoing, confident, and curious yet calm. She's instantly comfortable in new environments, as her fosters learned when they brought her to their home. She has also proven to be an excellent companion. Speckles would likely follow you around all day and just hang out, or greet you at the door in the morning. She just wants to be involved! Speckles also loves to chat and has a cute little trill. Clearly she is a bona fide Fur Person.

In terms of playfulness, Speckles' energy level and interest can vary based on the situation and the available human's desire to play or cuddle. With a few pets or a flick of a wand toy, she can switch from play to snuggle in an instant. In foster care, she has played by herself, with her babies, and with her human companions. She's quite the acrobat too - she can jump 2-3 feet in the air to catch a wand toy! She also loves playing ping pong ball soccer in the bathtub and wrestling with bunny kickers. Speckles loves ANY toy really!

Speckles is always ready for a snuggle session, including tummy rubs! She'll stretch out as long as she can so you can access all of her chest and tummy. Who can resist, honestly? Speckles also will flop on your lap and accidentally fall off if you do not hold her. Plus, she loves face scritches! Doesn't she sound like a total lovebug?

While in foster care, she has been kept separate from resident cats while she raises her babies. However, she has seen them a few times and looks at them with curiosity. Although she has not met a dog, her foster thinks she would likely enjoy the company of one, or at least tolerate a reasonably respectful dog. Because she is patient and calm, Speckles would probably also do OK with respectful children.

Speckles could fit in almost any home, but she would thrive best in an environment where she would be around her people most often. Since she is an experienced companion cat, she'd be a great buddy for someone who works from home!
