Purry, Belly Flopper, Sweetie

The moment Tom Manx sees you he turns on the charm! He starts to purr and then flops onto his back for some awesome belly rubs. You won't be able to resist rubbing his fluffy tummy!

Tom is also SUPER playful! He is great with the dogs and other cats he has met in his foster home. He would love-love-LOVE another kitten or fun cat to romp around with!

In addition to his gorgeous fluffy black coat, he has a supremely cute behind - he is a Manx kitten, and was born without a tail. When he bounces across the room, you may think you are looking at a tiny bunny!

Being a Manx without a tail can actually cause a spinal abnormality; Tom has Manx Syndrome, meaning the spinal abnormality damaged some nerves and gave him incontinence. He uses the litter box but can leak, so in addition to the litter box he needs to have his bladder expressed a couple of times a day. This little guy does the best he can, he just needs a little help! He also takes some daily meds/supplements and might need a butt bath now and then.

Expressing a bladder means pressing gently on it to help him go, which is pretty straightforward; Tom also purrs when you express his bladder and/or give him meds! We think he is the most easygoing incontinent kitten ever. APA! will show you how to do bladder expressions and make sure you are comfortable.

Caring for an incontinent cat is easier than you may think. Check out this video of expressing the bladder of an adult cat: bit.ly/CatExpressionDemo

As you can tell, Tom is a fun, loving, adorable, and hilarious kitten. Contact us today to learn more!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
