Snuggle-bug, Quirky, Putty in your Arms

Be careful or Merlin will cast a spell on you! His one wish is to be held as often as possible. He will meld into any shape or form to stay in your arms, and basically becomes putty for you to do with what you will!

This is on top of his need to be near you as much as he can! Merlin may be part puppy with the way he follows his humans around. He just wants to be close and get in all the loving he can! He will climb into bed with you and sleep by your head all night. During the day he curls up near you, or takes advantage of your open lap to snuggle into! Face rubs are the best way to love on Merlin. He follows your hands with his face to fully maximize his massage time! This boy knows what he wants, and will do everything in his power to make it happen!

Merlin loves to play. Peacock feathers, laser pointers, crinkly paper- it's all fair game! He will 'skittle' around after any and all playthings. Merlin does have some balance issues from time to time due to potential neurological issues. So his playtime can look a little silly, but he is one motivated feline! He loves to jump up and down from beds and high places, but must focus to do so, and can take a little bit to complete the task!

A patient and understanding human will be the purr-fect match for Merlin. He has his quirks and signals that take some time and understanding to learn. He has a great appetite, but may need a solid/heavy bowl, or someone to help hold the food in place to assist in him getting to every last bite. He gets so excited about eating that he will nose the food out of range of his mouth and appreciates the help to hold it in place for him to finish eating! Due to his occasional balance issues, Merlin will be so adamant about covering his litter box droppings, that he sometimes steps in it instead of covering it. He does his best, but may need some help wiping off his paws before re-entering the rest of the home!

Merlin does his best to communicate what he is feeling, and what he wants. He will let you know if he is in a cuddle mood, is hungry, or has had enough and needs some alone time. He is full of love and snuggles, he just needs someone around who is willing to learn when he has had enough for a bit! He will always come back for cuddles when he is ready!

All of his little quirks sum up an amazingly worth it cat to befriend! Merlin is so appreciative of the love and pets he receives, you will feel so loved in return! If you can't wait to give Merlin the kind and patient household he is searching for, contact APA! today to learn more about him and find out if you two were meant to be together!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
