Sweet, Confident, Smart

Calligator - or Callie, for short - is a kitty with discriminating taste. She doesn't care for catnip, it doesn't do anything for her, but she DOES love silver vine (the catnip alternative for cats with discriminating taste)! Toys in general don't impress Callie either, but she has decided that silver vine is a-okay in her book.

Callie has a sweet, quiet, and independent spirit. She's wonderful company, but she's not a needy, in-your-face type of cat. She'd rather relax around you than cuddle up in your lap. She does enjoy pets and affection, and will purr delightedly to you. And she is always up for a chat! If you need to get something off your chest, Callie will listen, and mew in agreement with you.

When she's on her own, Callie will hop up in her windowsill to watch the birds and squirrels. If you have a feeder in your yard, she'll be entertained for hours looking outside and snoozing.

Callie is diabetic, but her levels are well regulated with diet and insulin shots. Giving Callie her insulin is a breeze if she's eating - she's too busy chowing down to notice or care!

Callie's ideal home would be tranquil and routine. Unscripted chaos is not her jam. In fact, if there is too much commotion going on, she may let you know with a (claws-in) bop to the legs! At 8 years old, she's a grown lady not looking for any shenanigans. The way she chats and interacts makes her like another person in the room, she'll give you a chuckle. Callie pretty much ignores other cats, and would not object to being your one-and-only kitty.

Callie is ready to find her forever home and start a new life with you! If you are enchanted by a strong-minded, sweet, and clever kitty, contact us today to meet Calligator.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.

APA!’s Barn Cat Program Provides You With Your Favorite Whiskered Workers

Some cats prefer mice-hunting to bird-watching, and some prefer laying in grass to sitting on laps. Here at APA!, we believe that barn cats still deserve a chance to live happy and healthy.
