Talkative, Affectionate, Cautious

Margaret Catwood is a sleek black panther with big yellow eyes and a solid white patch on her belly. She's an affectionate sweetheart who prefers her hoomans to be chill and patient--she wants to come TO YOU for snuggles and attention, rather than have you seek her out.

Margaret likes to be in the room you're in, and acts like her foster mom's shadow, following her around the house. Once you're sufficiently settled somewhere comfy, Margaret will come for lap snuggles. She loves attention and expects a lot of it, but it still has to be on her terms: if you wish to say hello, she prefers if you crouch and let her approach, or if she's already settled somewhere, approach low and slow!

Once she's decided you're one of her people, Margaret is quite the chatty lady! She has a lot of different meows for different contexts, and will patiently teach you what all of her unique meows mean.

When Margaret's playful side takes over, she enjoys batting around toys, especially fake mice or quality wand toys. She's generally more of a snuggler than a player, but she does get the urge to play, and usually has a bout of some "growling zoomies" once a day, during which she runs around the house and growls to herself.

Margaret's ideal home will be with someone who wants a very affectionate cat, but who is patient enough to let her be affectionate on her terms. She needs some ongoing slower approaches, so smaller kiddos may not be the best fit for her! She has learned to live amicably with other felines and canines, and would likely do well after a proper introduction, as long as her furry forever siblings can respect her space.

If you have a home with space to roam, empty laps to nuzzle into, and idle items that are ready to turn into toys, reach out to APA! today to adopt Margaret Catwood!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
