Martyyy! What a guy. Who doesn't love having a buddy named Marty? Especially ones that have seen some things, know what they're about, and are totally happy to just hang out at the local bar... err, lap. If Marty were a cop, he'd have recently retired, having caught hundreds of crooks over his illustrious career, and would be ready to settle down into a slower pace. In this analogy, he's the kind of dude that would want to get a small cabin in the woods, so he could go fishing in the morning and get away from it all... however, Marty's a cat, so the equivalent for him would be a home that moves at a slower pace, with no other cats around to pester him. Marty's had his fill of felines, thanks, and would greatly prefer to be an only cat from here on out. That's not to say he's antisocial! He just wants to hang with humans when he decides that it's lap time. Because of this, a home with small kids would not suit him very well.

The price for all this time gathering wisdom and experience is that Marty is no spring chicken, so like many of us that are getting on in years, he's got to take his medicine every day. This helps him keep his food down, which everyone can agree is where eaten food should stay. It's no big deal though! Marty's a tough old guy, and takes it like a champ. He also could use a good dental cleaning, as 14 years is a long time to go without brushing your teeth!

If you're looking for an unflappable older gent to teach you the ways of the mean streets and keep your lap warm in the meantime, come meet Marty! He's more than happy to ride shotgun.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
