Affectionate, Talkative, Resilient

Oh my gosh y'all, can you believe it?! AUBREY is at APA! That's right, we've been blessed to scoop up Austin's Sweetheart Aubrey and we cannot believe our good fortune! The only person luckier than us is the one that brings her into their forever home, where this superstar can shine for the rest of her days. In case you hadn't heard, Miss Aubrey came in to the Austin Animal Center in rough shape with a fractured tailbone, but this legend demonstrated her trademark resilience and hasn't let it slow her down. She still loves to chase and pounce on anything that looks even remotely like a string or a feather like she's a cat half her age. After all, all the greats know age ain't nothing but a number, honey.

When she isn't practicing her pouncing abilities, you can absolutely find Aubrey right in your lap. She's old enough to know what she wants, when she wants it, and she's not afraid to go after it! She'll use her unique meow and a gentle pat on the arm to make it clear that she would like some space in your lap, please. Once she's nestled, Aubrey is happy to lounge and receive all the pets and scratches you'll give her. Her favorite thing is head scratches, and she'll let you know you've found a good spot by closing her eyes and sticking her tongue out a little. She even likes to give hugs!

Aubrey is so people-oriented, she's more than happy to carry on a conversation with you. A creature of the media, she loves to hear all the hot gossip and will comment back on everything you tell her. Despite her star-power, her perfect home doesn't have to be a mansion. So long as it has people in it that love her and talk to her and give her room to explore, she'll be on cloud nine! Her back legs are healing up beautifully from her injury, but in the meantime, some comfortable lower surfaces she can readily access and steps up to the couch will go a long way toward making this gem comfortable.

Quick, before someone else realizes that a living legend is lounging in foster care, come scoop up this famous beauty and bring home your new best friend!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
