Independent, Curious, Sassy
Ponce loves attention when she craves it! She will let you know that it is time for pets, and if you do it just right you will be rewarded with her bird-like special meow that comes out when she is at her happiest. Her independence does cause her to be a little cautious to warm up to people, but once she has gotten to know you, your relationship will bloom quickly!
Quality alone time is a must for Ponce, but she will seek you out when it is time for affection! Don't be offended when she alerts you she is going to her favorite hideout for a breather. She will be back in no time to flaunt her 'cat walk' to remind you to pet her again! Ponce is quite fond of back and chin scratches, and loves to walk back and forth to make sure you hit all of the good spots.
Ponce would be the perfect addition to a home with humans who work or are not home all of the time. She loves to balance her days with alone time, and quality affectionate interactions with her humans. She is beautiful and is not afraid to show it! Ponce will show off her features in what can only be described as kitty yoga along with her mini cat walks to get your attention.
A home where Ponce is the only kitty would be for the best. She likes to relax and enjoy her free time while her humans are out for the day, and will come around for some conversation and scritches once you get home! If you want to be Ponce's forever home, contact us to meet her today!
Ponce is a healthy FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) cat. FIV+ cats typically live long, healthy lives! For more information, please contact APA! or read this FAQ: http://bit.ly/2DPxI43
Ponce has tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus). FeLV cats have a virus that causes a weaker immune system - they do not have cancer! For the most part, felvies are just like any other cat. You could not pick one out of the crowd, and they generally do not require much additional care. As a bonus, we waive their adoption fees! APA! provides full coverage and treatment for any FeLV-related issues that arise after the time of adoption. Cats with FeLV typically have a shortened lifespan - we like to compare it to the lifespan of adopting a senior kitty, with the added benefit that they don't have chronic senior health problems, and that FeLV-related medical care is covered. Ponce is not contagious to people, dogs or other animals, but should live only with other FeLV+ cats. For more information, please contact APA! or read more by our Partner, Best Friends Animal Society: http://bit.ly/2FwYCxR
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
