Beautiful, Sweet, Mellow
Want some input on what to watch at night? Emerald is happy to be your purry guide! Cooking shows are her favorite, especially "The Great British Baking Show." Bon (purr) Appetit! But, if food isn't your thing, no problem! Any show that is docile and calm suits her just fine. She does have her opinions though. Thrillers, violence or action movies just aren't her jam.
Emerald can be shy initially. But, once she gets to know you she loves to cuddle and be petted. Give her head scratches and she's in heaven! When she's getting settled in, she likes to gently make biscuits and happily purr! She isn't crazy about being picked up. But, if you must she'll put up with it. Her foster transports her each night from a coveted spot on the master bedroom bed to Emerald's own cozy domain in the bathroom. She likes to curl up under the bathroom sink in there and snooze away.
Emerald keeps things economical when it comes to eating and doesn't like fancy, expensive cat food. She prefers the sensibly priced brands. She loves Temptations treats! Some say too pedestrian, Emerald says "Yum!" She's been warming up to the dog in her foster home. But, she's keeping her distance for now. Trust can take time after all. She'd likely be okay in a home with a low-key, friendly dog if given a slow introduction.
If you're looking for a sweet snuggle buddy, Emerald is your gal! She's quiet and affectionate and would enjoy a tranquil home where she has lots of pets and snuggle time. Ready to start binge watching with this little beauty by your side? Contact us to meet Emerald today!
Emerald has tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus). FeLV cats have a virus that causes a weaker immune system - they do not have cancer! For the most part, felvies are just like any other cat. You could not pick one out of the crowd, and they generally do not require much additional care. As a bonus, we waive their adoption fees! APA! provides full coverage and treatment for any FeLV-related issues that arise after the time of adoption. Cats with FeLV typically have a shortened lifespan - we like to compare it to the lifespan of adopting a senior kitty, with the added benefit that they don't have chronic senior health problems, and that FeLV-related medical care is covered. Emerald is not contagious to people, dogs or other animals, but should live only with other FeLV+ cats. For more information, please contact APA! or read more by our Partner, Best Friends Animal Society: http://bit.ly/2FwYCxR
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
