Talkative, Affectionate, Curious

Artichoke (Artie to his friends, which is pretty much everyone he meets) is a handsome and outgoing cat with beautiful marble tabby markings running from his head to tail - well, almost - the tip of his tail is white.

He has been thriving in his foster home, where he loves and plays equally hard. Artie is a high energy guy; he can be found climbing, running while trilling, and (a favorite activity) sliding around on the tile. He also likes to play peekaboo. Artie is an explorer and quite curious about his surroundings - he can open almost any door. He's also curious about the resident dogs, whom he often attempts to recruit as playmates, though his enthusiasm is sometimes overwhelming to the canines.

Artie loves to talk; whether it's meowing, purring, or trilling, he's got a lot to say. He responds to his name and enjoys having "conversations with humans; if you meow, he'll meow back.

Though he has a lot of pep, he does also love to receive attention. You can pet him pretty much anywhere and he'll wind himself around your legs. Artie doesn't mind being held but he can't stay still forever. Eventually he's got to get back to bird-watching and playing.

His foster mom reports that he is one of the sweetest cats she has ever had in her home - a glowing report! Artie will fit in beautifully in any loving home, but he would especially like a home with great bird-watching spots, plenty of wet food, and lots of great napping spaces.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
