Affectionate, Curious, Laid-back

Johanna has a very calm, sweet, and loving temperament. She allows her humans to scoop her up and love on her whenever they please. A true "curious cat", Johanna warms up quickly to new people and enjoys exploring new areas. She likes to find the highest perch in the room and jump to get there. When it comes to playtime, she doesn't play a whole lot by herself but if someone throws something along the ground, she'll run after it and play for a while. Johanna also loves chasing small toys such as mice, balls, and highlighters.

Johanna enjoys spending time with her humans and will wind herself around legs or sit in a chair along with everyone else. She's not a lap cat, but if you pick her up she'll purr in your arms for a while before wanting to be let down. If you go into a room and shut the door, she will patiently wait right outside for your return. Johanna doesn't have experience with other animals or small children, but since she's incredibly calm-tempered she would probably get along well with them.

Because she loves being around people, Johanna would do best in a home where her humans are usually around. She's laid-back but also loves attention so pets and playtime are a must. If you believe that your home would be the perfect permanent match for Johanna, please contact us today!

Johanna has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Johanna can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
