Handsome, Sweet, Social

Menlo is a gorgeous Russian Blue mix! He is a pretty chill guy, happy to look out the window. He gets along with other cats, and in fact, likes them very much! He is still a young cat and very interested in playing, as well as being held.

So, to recap: Friendly - check! Affectionate: check! Fun - check! Handsome with a self-assured calmness: check!

Menlo came to APA! with some kind of unknown trauma to his tail, requiring partial amputation. Now he has a cute little pigtail! The trauma also caused nerve damage, giving him a pee problem - he needs for you to press on his bladder a few times a day to help him pee, because he can't go on his own. This is called "manual expression", and it's easier than you might imagine! Incontinent cats are frequently overlooked because potential adopters assume the worst - that the cat's urinary incontinence is out-of-control, and they will never have a clean house again. But not all incontinent cats are created equal, and there are many different levels of care; some require very little special care! And in every other way, Menlo is "normal" - fun, loving, and a great companion! Contact APA! for information on how to care for Menlo.

Menlo needs a home with people who are willing to care for him, as well as one with toys, window perches, and maybe a feline buddy! Don't let his pee problem stop you from falling in love with him - he is a terrific guy with a sweet disposition. Please consider making him your companion, he would love it. Contact us today!

Menlo is incontinent and requires some extra medical care, which may include a regulated diet and/or manual expression. For more information, please contact APA!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.

Some cats prefer mice-hunting to bird-watching, and some prefer laying in grass to sitting on laps. Here at APA!, we believe that barn cats still deserve a chance to live happy and healthy.
