Ecstatic, Affectionate, Adventurous

Der Kemper finds the funniest positions and places to take a nap! He is part ninja, part gymnast, part cuddler, and 100% adorable. Walk into the room, and he will come dashing out to jump on your feet or wherever he can reach. Nothing shy about this exuberant guy!

Do chores around the house, and Der Kemper is your little buddy! Clean the litter box and he will helpfully jump in the box. He likes to be in the middle of everything!

When he's not helping you around the house, he is either napping (in the aforementioned hilarious position/place du jour), he is playing chase with his brother, Der Rote, his foster sister, Buttercup, and the other cats in his foster home. He is fun and friendly! And would definitely love a feline buddy in his new home - maybe Der Rote or Buttercup?

Contact us today to meet this spirited, handsome, and silly guy!

Der Kemper has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Der Kemper can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

(Der Kemper was named for a senior adult cat in his foster home, Mr. Kemper, who is also a felvie. Mr. Kemper definitely proves that some felvies can live a long and healthy life!)

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.

APA!’s Barn Cat Program Provides You With Your Favorite Whiskered Workers

Some cats prefer mice-hunting to bird-watching, and some prefer laying in grass to sitting on laps. Here at APA!, we believe that barn cats still deserve a chance to live happy and healthy.
