Loving, chill, adaptable

Despite his name, there is nothing scary about Spooky! This sweet kitty is the biggest human lover there is. He is a total lap cat and is in his happy place when he's quietly existing near his person and getting some much deserved head rubs. And who can resist giving him ALL the scratches when you see those amazing cheeks?!

Spooky certainly has his priorities in order. He doesn't care much for fancy toys (although he has been known to show a hair tie who's boss), and would much rather find a nice warm spot to nap. When he's awake, he is the ultimate social butterfly. It is so adorable the way he follows you from room to room, always wanting to be by your side! Other animals may be a different story and he'd likely need some time to get used to a pup he doesn't know.

Spooky isn't just a silent observer, either. His little croak is his trademark way of communicating. And he almost never stops purring! You'll think you've adopted a lawnmower when his engine starts to rev. It is beyond delightful!

Spooky is the perfect cat for a laid back home where he can add tons of affection and love. This gorgeous guy can't wait to meet more new people and make friends for life!

Spooky has tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus. FeLV causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span; but for the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives their adoption fees, and provides treatment and support post-adoption. Spooky can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.

APA!’s Barn Cat Program Provides You With Your Favorite Whiskered Workers

Some cats prefer mice-hunting to bird-watching, and some prefer laying in grass to sitting on laps. Here at APA!, we believe that barn cats still deserve a chance to live happy and healthy.
