Shy, sweet, refined

Gracie reminds us of a retired Golden-age movie star. She's petite, dainty and so very elegant! She has huge soulful eyes and the softest fur!

Gracie has impeccable manners, and never runs around like a crazy kitten ruffian. She does like to play in her own dainty way. Toss a small stuffed toy and she'll chase it down and chew on it. She also finds yarn and string toys most enticing.

Gracie is particular about her environment and the company she keeps. She likes to take her time exploring a new environment before she's totally comfortable. But don't worry - she is far too graceful and refined to ever knock anything over or dig into any houseplant.

Gracie warms up to calm adults once she gets to know them. You will know you are accepted and loved when she nestles into your pillow above your head or snuggles into the space between your knees to sleep. Pet her and she turns into a purring machine!

Gracie is fairly quiet; she's not one to yammer away about every little thing. But she'll greet you (and her dinner!) with a charming range of happy chirps and squeaks. She doesn't actually meow unless she's scared.

Speaking of scared, she does seem easily intimidated and upset by noise and chaos of any kind. When she was in the shelter, she was so stressed by the environment and the presence of other cats that she stopped eating. She would do best as an only pet in a calm, quieter adult household.

If you're looking for an elegant, loving, low-key kitty, contact us today to arrange a meet-and-greet!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.

APA!’s Barn Cat Program Provides You With Your Favorite Whiskered Workers

Some cats prefer mice-hunting to bird-watching, and some prefer laying in grass to sitting on laps. Here at APA!, we believe that barn cats still deserve a chance to live happy and healthy.
