Gentle, Loving, Trusting

Just like the fall soup, Acorn Squash is who you want to cuddle up with and stay indoors. This gentle boy wants nothing more than to hang out on the couch with his human companion and get a few Zs in. He never says no to a snuggle, even when he's feeling a little under the weather.

Acorn is calm and friendly, and we think he has an adaptable nature. He hasn't felt much like playing since he came to APA!, but we suspect once he feels in tip-top shape he will show some playful energy. Until then, he is all about comfort-snuggling with you!

If you're looking for a trustworthy best friend, Acorn Squash will always be by your side with a headbutt and a small chirp.

Acorn Squash has stomatitis which is an inflammation of the mouth. It is typically resolved through removal of teeth and supportive care. He currently requires some extra medical care which may include medications and specialized diet. For more information, please contact APA!

Acorn Squash has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Acorn Squash can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.

APA!’s Barn Cat Program Provides You With Your Favorite Whiskered Workers

Some cats prefer mice-hunting to bird-watching, and some prefer laying in grass to sitting on laps. Here at APA!, we believe that barn cats still deserve a chance to live happy and healthy.
