Sadie is a very cute brown tabby with wide, expressive eyes and a wonderful disposition. She adores people and immediately made herself comfortable in her foster home: the first night, she slept right next to her foster dad and that's how she's spent her evenings since then. She's cuddly and likes to be right next to you, but she's also respectful and sleeps through the night rather than walking on top of you. Sadie is the perfect slumber party pal!

Sadie is quite affectionate and enjoys being part of the action. She likes to be with her foster dad when he works on his laptop and occasionally "helps him type. She enjoys head scratches quite a bit - if she gets too excited, she'll give a love nip (not bite), but then lick you right after to be sure you know she was showing affection. She doesn't meow, but she purrs and trills.

Aside from being a love bug, Sadie is very playful and has a lot of energy. She loves all types of toys, including wand toys and foil balls. She's been known to entertain herself by batting them around and chasing them all by herself.

Sadie has excellent litter and scratching manners. While there aren't any other cats in her foster home, she got along really well with the other cats at the shelter and we think she would probably enjoy having a feline playmate to keep up with her. She hasn't met any dogs or kids yet. The ideal home for Sadie would include loving humans who can spend time cuddling and playing with her, and lots of toys.

Sadie has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Sadie can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.

Some cats prefer mice-hunting to bird-watching, and some prefer laying in grass to sitting on laps. Here at APA!, we believe that barn cats still deserve a chance to live happy and healthy.
