Mellow, Shy, Loyal

Corki came to APA! after being rescued from a hoarding situation. His time there left him a little shy and very cautious, but still bursting with love for his favorite people. He does have a habit of hiding when he's spooked but will warm up to his new surroundings with time. In a quiet environment, Corki absolutely blooms! Once he trusts you, Corki is generous with his affection. He loves sitting on your lap, purring like a motor as you pet him. He is also good at communicating via his adorable meows when he wants more food, water, or attention!

Corki is looking for a quiet, peaceful environment to spend his golden years in. He prefers a home without children or dogs as they tend to stress him out - he will hide indefinitely when a dog is around! He loves adults but would prefer to interact with only a few of them at a time. Corki would make a faithful companion to anyone who is willing to give him a relaxing home and time to adjust. If you're searching for a fur-ever friend, come meet Corki today! He's gorgeous and wonderful!

Corki has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Corki can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.

APA!’s Barn Cat Program Provides You With Your Favorite Whiskered Workers

Some cats prefer mice-hunting to bird-watching, and some prefer laying in grass to sitting on laps. Here at APA!, we believe that barn cats still deserve a chance to live happy and healthy.
