Protective, loyal, shy!

Eliza is a beautiful mama who is ready to strike out on her own! She loves her babies! She loves to smother them with head boops, baths, and snuggles. She does chirp at the babies to let them know where she is and if what they are doing is ok. She is just the best mom!

Eliza loves cat beds and she prefers the open air ones, but she will snuggle up in a cave bed as well. She's definitely an introvert and keeps to herself. She is still a full-time mom right now, so she doesn't get much of a chance to play, but when her foster mom isn't looking, Eliza likes balls that jingle and the kick toys.

Eliza will let you pet her behind the ears if you put your hand out so that she can smell it first. She is still working on her trust of us humans, so it is best to go slow with her. She is not overly affectionate, but she adores her babies and will snuggle them any chance she gets. Eliza also likes a good chat, chirping to get your attention. She also isn't afraid to let you know if she doesn't like something!

Eliza has not met any cats other than her kittens and she hasn't met any dogs yet, but they are most likely not her speed. She is also better off with adults rather than children. Eliza needs a furrever home with very patient humans who are willing to let her open up in her own time!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.

APA!’s Barn Cat Program Provides You With Your Favorite Whiskered Workers

Some cats prefer mice-hunting to bird-watching, and some prefer laying in grass to sitting on laps. Here at APA!, we believe that barn cats still deserve a chance to live happy and healthy.
