Reserved, Shy, Floof-tastic

Pasquale is just the cutest boy. His coat resembles an extra fluffy bathmat that's adorably disheveled and that wizened beard of his is endlessly cute! Pasquale wasn't so sure about people initially. But, after observing his foster siblings' positive interactions, his suspicions melted away. Pasquale realized that getting pets from humans feels good.

At the shelter, Pasquale is more reserved than he was in his foster home. We are watching him work up to longer intervals of love, and can see his companion cat potential, if he's in a forever home and knows there's nothing to fear.

Pasquale has had all of his teeth removed, but he's concluded that teeth are overrated since he can eat just fine and is feeling better. He takes medication once a month to help keep his mouth feeling good.

Pasquale likes his little 'brother' Timmy. He's not too annoying to this older fella, and he's good company. It seems like he reminds Pasquale to be happy instead of grumpy! We think he enjoys Timmy looking up to him, too.

Lately, Pasquale has been showing his stuff when the sun goes down. Night time is his time! He relaxes and plays a bit more, and plays splish-splash in his water bowl.

We recommend Pasquale go home with Timmy, or join another FeLVie home. A slow introduction will help him get used to any new kitties in his life. A quiet home with patient people would be best for him so that his transition into the family is chill and successful.

If you have the love and tenderness to welcome Pasquale, contact us today to meet this handsome, tousle-furred sweetie!

Pasquale has tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus. FeLV causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span; but for the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. Their adoption fees are waived at APA!, and we provide treatment and support post-adoption. Pasquale can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.

APA!’s Barn Cat Program Provides You With Your Favorite Whiskered Workers

Some cats prefer mice-hunting to bird-watching, and some prefer laying in grass to sitting on laps. Here at APA!, we believe that barn cats still deserve a chance to live happy and healthy.
