Pretty, Sassy, Purrfect
Did you look at Niny's photos and say, "WOW!"? We certainly did! With her Lynx Point Siamese coat, tabby stripes, raccoon tail, and crossed eyes (so cute!), she is definitely a looker. And she is a chatty girl with a rather funny meow!
Niny will sit next to you so you can scratch her head. She will affectionately rub against you, accept some full body pets, and may even climb into your lap! She would rather make the decision to get in your lap rather than you picking her up, but if you must, she will tolerate it. But she definitely shows that she is a companion cat who can become your best pal.
One way to build a respectful relationship with Niny is to play with her - she LOVES to play, especially with ribbon wand toys. But be it a little wicker ball or some kind of feather toy, she instantly turns on GAME TIME mode! She isn't picky; give her a wadded up piece of paper and she's happy. And of course she appreciates a good box to sit in. Though the ball track toy where the ball goes 'round and 'round always gets her interest!
Niny likes to scratch, so get this gal a cat tree and a scratching post! She will make good use of it. She doesn't seem to like other cats, so a home where she is the only kitty would be best.
Niny is considered incontinent because she pees outside the litter box; we are investigating medical and behavioral issues that might be the root cause. Not all incontinent cats are created equal, and there are many different levels of care; some require very little special care! Niny is one of those cats; contact APA! for information on how to care for her.
Niny has a calm and curious nature - and an independent and sometimes-sassy personality, and we love her for it! She is fun to play with and a beauty to behold. Once she gets used to all the changes in her life, we think she will make a perfect feline friend, the one you look forward to coming home to. Contact us today to arrange a meet & greet!
Niny has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Niny can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
