Resilient, Sweet, Cuddly

There once was a kitten named Shitake, a beautiful, loving, and fun-loving little gal, full of sweetness and light. She was adopted with her brother and was living a fairy tale life for the last year...until she had a great fall.

Shitake is still beautiful, loving, fun-loving, and full of sweetness and light! The fall damaged part of her spine, resulting in a wonky leg, decreased mobility, and urinary incontinence. Her accident happened quite recently, and it is possible she may recover, at least partly, over time; TBD.

Shitake is very playful, friendly, and loves snuggles! She will come up to meet you; she doesn't understand how her life changed so suddenly and drastically, but she is a happy girl.

Shitake needs someone to give her a fresh start; a do-over! She poops just fine but needs her human to press on her bladder a few times a day because she can't pee on her own. She is so easy to care for. And so easy to love!

Life throws curve balls at us, and this time it had Shitake's name on it. She's waiting for an angel to rescue her! Contact us today to learn more!

Shitake is incontinent and requires some extra medical care, which may include a regulated diet and/or manual expression. For more information, please contact APA!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
