Playful, Adorable, Outgoing

Sweet Elijah is just too cute for words! His soft coat has that gorgeous Classic Tabby marbling pattern, and he has the cutest little meow!

Elijah came to APA! as a tiny baby after being attacked by an animal; he has healed beautifully but has some remaining complications on his rear end. He takes oral medications to manage pain and keep him regular.

And yet, Elijah is as playful and loving as any other kitten! He loves to chase and play with whatever he can find. He's friendly with other cats and likes the dogs he has met, too. He will definitely keep you busy with all the running around he does!

Due to his injury, some of Elijah's rear end muscles don't work perfectly. However, Elijah uses the litter box just fine on his own! He has no issues with urinating and can poop by himself, but he is technically considered "incontinent" because he is not able to "pinch off" his poop (due to those compromised rear end muscles). So some poop ends up on him and outside the litter box.

Elijah needs regular baths to keep his rear end clean. This sweet boy has been getting them his entire life, so it's not as big a deal to him as it would be with other cats!

Cats like Elijah are frequently overlooked because they require special care. But Elijah's level of care is low, and the reward for helping a special needs boy who is "normal" in every other way is sky-high! Contact APA! for more information on how to care for Elijah.

Elijah is such a deserving boy. Contact us today to arrange a meet & greet!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
