Affectionate, curious, joyful

Cool Ranch is a beautiful black and white cat with a black nose and gorgeous green eyes. She's one of the sweetest cats her foster mom has ever met, which is pretty high praise, but it's 100% true. Cool Ranch's purr switch is tripped very easily - all she needs to do is be near her person and her motor revs right up. She really wants to be a companion cat and would prefer to join a family where someone is home with her often. She isn't needy and won't force interaction all the time, she just likes to hang out and be with her people.

Cool Ranch is an older cat and, while her days of playtime are over, she can keep up - she likes to follow you around and see what you're up to. She'll often sit or lay next to you with the hopes of a quick pet or rub. Her favorite way to wake up her human is by standing on their chest, giving head bumps and purring up a storm. She doesn't cuddle or lay on top of people, but she loves to be touched as much as possible. The one thing she's not a fan of is being picked up.

Cool Ranch doesn't have a huge appetite and prefers wet food to dry. She has been known to scratch furniture (though she has never destroyed anything or left visible marks), so it will be important for her to have a variety of appropriate scratching surfaces in her forever home. Other than purring, Cool Ranch is pretty quiet, although she doesn't like being shut in or out of a space alone - she will cry!

Cool Ranch would do well in a home with other chill cats - the resident feline in her foster home has not been very friendly to her, but she hasn't ever lashed out, even when provoked. She is just curious about him. The ideal home for Cool Ranch would include loving humans who truly want to have a best friend to hang out with at home.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
