Adaptable, Sweet, Independent
Paola has had to adjust to many new environments the past few months. She has taken it all in stride and makes a point to seek out affection when she is comfortable! She went from being a street cat, to a mama, to retiring in the shelter, and then a foster home all within a few short months. It's been a whirlwind, but she is happy to have learned from it all and be where she is now!
Each new environment brought new challenges to adjust to, and Paola took the time to find her comfort zones, and communicated with the people around her to let them know how she was feeling. As she settles in, she becomes more and more affectionate and begins to blossom!
Paola can't wait to hone her communication skills in her forever home, where both humans and cats can read each other well! Watching Paola come out of her shell is worth the wait! She loves to play, and is always ready to jump at a dangling string or pounce on the nearest toy. She is a smart lady and easily distinguishes between people items and cat items, and will avoid messing with anything that isn't hers-even house plants!
With a little time and patience, Paola's foster is confident she will turn into a snuggly cat, she just needs to set her boundaries first! She is a great work companion, and happily snuggles into a comfy chair or corner and just hangs out while the hours pass. As she craves more attention and affection, she will slowly sneak closer to her humans to show them how happy she is to be around! One day soon she may jump right into her human's lap all on her own!
Paola is curious about all of the strange human stuff we keep around the house, and can't wait to continue to discover new and exciting things! Her favorite so far has been running water-what a crazy concept to be indoors!
