Sweet, Cuddly, Careful

The way Stone Pony leans into being pet would melt even a heart of stone! Stone hasn't been at APA! for long, and you can tell she is still nervous about everything new; but because she is a tremendous sweetheart, though she will stay partly in her safe spot, at the same time she will lean out so that you can scratch her around the ears. And especially her cheeks and chin! Head scratches are the winner with her. And as long as you pet her, she will lean into your hand and purr up a storm. Imagine how much more affectionate she will be when she feels safe to roam around and ask for pets? (We won't be sure that she is a lap cat until she meanders around more, but we suspect she is.)

Stone doesn't seem interested in playing yet, but that too could change when she feels safe in her new home. She seems to prefer the more mellow of her feline roommates over the rowdy and rambunctious ones, so she is likely a girl who likes things on the quiet and more predictable side.

If you have a low-traffic home and are looking for a sweet feline companion to soak up affection, contact us today to arrange a meet & greet!

Stone Pony has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Stone Pony can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
