Warm, Quiet, Opinionated

Babyhands is a very cute calico cat with a beautiful apricot and blue-grey coat; although she often wears a grumpy expression, she is quite sweet. A quiet cat, she hardly ever meows, but she does purr. Babyhands loves to be petted and will give a very insistent headbutt to let you know that she wants more - she'll leave her head pressed up against your hand until you pet her! Scratches around the ears and long strokes along her back will elicit purrs!

Though she's not a fan of being held, she'll simply wriggle away and then be perfectly happy to go right back to petting. Babyhands was initially cautious in her foster home, but warmed up quickly with treats (note: Temptations are her favorite - other treats need not apply!) and switched right into snuggle mode.

She hasn't shown a ton of interest in playing yet, but she's young and that may change as she continues to settle in - for now, she's content to watch wand toys and string get dragged across the floor, occasionally reaching out with a paw to grab them, rather than chasing after them. She seems to prefer quiet toys and gets a bit spooked by jingly or squeaky ones.

Babyhands enjoys watching cars and people go by outside, but she doesn't seem to be so curious that she would try to run out the door. Why would she when she gets all the pets inside? The ideal home for Babyhands would be calm and quiet and include loving humans who are ready to pet and scratch her often. The perfect home for Babyhands would also include an unlimited supply of Temptation treats.

Babyhands has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Babyhands can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
