Shy, Playful, Energetic

Sometimes an animal comes along that you really wish could talk so you could hear their story and Micheala is one of them! She and her brother, Jackson, were evacuated from the shelter in Beaumont in preparation for Hurricane Laura. That is about all we know other than an estimated birth date and that she is feral cat.

Micheala is currently in a foster home where she is starting to relax and learn the human brings the food and water, give treats and toys and a safe, warm place inside. She has progressed from staying completely under the bed to coming out to eat and play with the human and has even started sleeping on her foster mom at night. She will even take treats from a hand if it an especially tasty one. She is starting to relax and get petted but does still run for cover when startled.

Micheala lives with her brother Jackson and they are really connected. They do everything together - eat, sleep, play - and are never far apart. He is much braver and he is teaching her that getting pets isn't so bad and a nap on a human is really quite nice.

It seems certain that they would really love to find a home where they can stay together for life and help each other adapt to life inside with a family to give them all the love the deserve. Jackson is a fun little guy - check him out here: https://bit.ly/33lH0CL
