Wasabi is a master at discovering vertical ways to explore the house: she is a big fan of the tall cat tree, and loves getting on top of a window sill or desk for a good vantage point. She is curious and bold!

Wasabi is fascinated with the resident adult cat in her foster home, and will watch her whenever she can. She is chill with cats but a little more shy with people; she and her sister, Pepper, came to APA! under-socialized. Now Wasabi is finding out how wonderful pets from humans can be! And sometimes she will mew with envy if she sees you petting another cat - or holding treats - because she wants pets and treats. She has learned to appreciate them both!

Wasabi and Pepper are very attached to each other, and will cry when they're separated. They sleep, play, eat, and groom each other and try to stick together as much as possible. Wasabi will more quickly warm up after Pepper tries something first! They are a team. The perfect home for Wasabi would include Pepper; learn more about Pepper here - https://bit.ly/2R9GlyB

Though Wasabi seems to be the instigator of most of the wrestling bouts between her and Pepper, she is also a bit calm! She's more shy to warm up to people, but once she has relaxed she will be comfortable around you, especially when bribed with treats! She loves pets and is still learning her manners, so she can get a bit nippy when overstimulated.

Wasabi has great litterbox and scratching manners; she prefers a horizontal scratcher. Her humans should be patient, kind, give her time to warm up, and be willing to help her continue her socialization. She's made great progress!
