Cautious. Calm. Loving.

Grizz is a big cat with a big heart who needs a patient human to help him come out of his shell. Initially, Grizz may be shy and fearful and get startled easily. If you approach him slowly and let him know when you come into a room he's in, you'll make him feel a lot better.

Once you've earned his trust, Grizz is a total sweetheart. He loves to be petted and will purr up a storm when he's getting attention. Despite his large size, Grizz has a teeny tiny meow that he uses when he's ready for some TLC. Grizz enjoys attention, but he doesn't require it. He's happy to sit on the floor while you work or sleep on your feet on the bed. He'll also follow you around the house, just to see what you're up to.

Grizz likes to play a little bit, but not much. He enjoys chasing lasers and playing with strings, but will only do so for a little while before he skitters off to rest. Grizz is low maintenance, somewhat independent, and would do great in a single-person home or with an adult couple where he'll be the only pet.

Grizz has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Grizz can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

Grizz just needs a little time, understanding and affection. If you can gain his trust, you're sure to have a furry, loving friend for life. Won't you take the chance and bring Grizz into your home?

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
