Like his name would imply, Senator is good with people. He's a bit of a social butterfly, and will quickly earn your support. He's friendly and social in the sense that he loves to be around you and will follow you from room to room, but he's not much of a snuggler. He does enjoy sleeping next to people for body heat and will occasionally hop in your lap, but for the most part he just likes to be close to you.

Senator is becoming quite the playful cat. He's perfected fetch, and he'll bring you his toy to throw when he wants to play. When he's not playing, he's probably snoozing or chirping at the birds and squirrels outside. Senator is pretty laid back but needs some time to adjust to new environments. That said, he'd probably enjoy the company of a friendly dog or cat after proper introductions.

Senator would love to meet you and earn your vote for best house cat! To see more of Senator, check him out on Instagram @felinefurrend.

Senator has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Senator can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
