Melly is an expert in melting hearts! She's pretty shy at first, but once she knows her human is going to feed and pet her, she will be your best pal. Melly is so happy when you come home from wherever you were and will often greet you at the door. There's just nothing better than an adorable welcoming committee! As you go about your day, Melly will study your habits with a sweet and innocent curiosity. She will casually talk with you (likely persuading you to give her some more pets) and will call out to you if you leave. Pets and chin or cheek scritches feel so good she rolls over into a blissful trance while purring. And if you stop too soon, she sometimes pops up on her hind legs as if to say, 'More of that, please!'

When Melly isn't basking in your affection or having a nap, she entertains herself with jingly balls and fuzzy toy mice. Throwing a little catnip into the mix is the cherry on top for her! Melly could do well as a solo cat, but she has shown interest in playing with the resident cat at her foster home - she might really enjoy taking comfort in the presence of a friendly cat who can show her humans can be trusted.

Melly will thrive in a low-traffic home with lots of time for loves. Her foster suggests a calming pheromone diffuser to help Melly adjust to her new digs, and when Melly goes to her new home, can send along Melly's favorite toys, bowls, catnip, scratching post, bed, litter box, and food!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
