Mild-mannered, Affectionate, Lovely
Megaladon's pretty white coat reminds us of delicate snowflakes. Her temperament reminds us of them too - soft and gentle. She's such a sweet-natured girl who really just wants to hang out with her humans and get in some quality petting time.
Meg can be on the shy side at first because trusting people can be a scary thing. But, once she feels comfortable, this bashful beauty turns into a friendly chatter box! And, now that you're buddies she really doesn't want you to go. In fact, if you try to leave she'll get in front of your feet to stop you. When she looks up at you with her imploring, beautiful eyes and sweetly meows for some loving...let's just face it...you're not going anywhere just yet!
Meg adores chin scratches and having the top of her head rubbed...ahhhh! If she's really in a trusting mood, she'll give you the honor of petting her exquisite belly. When she's had her fill of affection, she'll simply get up and walk away. She doesn't oppose being held. But, after a short time she'll wriggle herself away and jump down. But, that doesn't mean petting time is over! She'll continue to lap up your love until she's had her fill.
Meg has an interesting habit of sometimes letting her inner wild cat come out through her little hisses. She'll sandwich them in between two sweet meows and then carry on as if nothing is out of the ordinary. It's as if her natural instincts kick in momentarily before she remembers you are safe and she's not in the jungle; Then she quickly apologizes and it's back to business as usual.
Meg is very ladylike, we've never seen her swipe or try to bite anyone. If she's feeling uneasy she just walks away. She didn't seem bothered by other cats she's met. We haven't seen her with dogs or children. Given her timidness, she would likely feel more at ease in a home without young kiddos.
Meg is such a sweet, gentle soul who would do well with someone who will give her the time she needs to come out of her shell. Once she's feeling at home, this lovely kitty will be your biggest fan and the sweetest friend you can imagine. Ready to meet her? Contact us and we'll introduce you to mega marvelous Megaladon!
Megaladon has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Megaladon can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about Megalodon 's care.
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
