Playful, curious, silly

Extra Friend lives up to his name: he's extra sweet, extra playful, and extra adorable! This classic brown tabby boy loves life and can't wait to find the right family to share it with him. Extra Friend is very chatty and communicative - he'll meow and chirp to let you know that it's time to eat, time to play, or if he just wants to say hi. Speaking of playing, Extra Friend really gives it his all. He loves wand toys, plushies, and will amaze you as he chases, hides, and pounces. He's capable of playing on his own, but he loves to play with a human - he'll even bring you a preferred toy from time to time. When playtime is over, Extra Friend goes into extreme cuddle mode. He's happy to be picked up and cuddled, loves chin scritches, and will purr away as you tell him how fantastic he is (trust us, this could take awhile). He also likes to snuggle up at the foot of the bed at night. Extra Friend has done great in his foster home - he uses his scratching post regularly and lifts the spirits of all the humans with his confident, loving personality. Extra Friend does fine when he is left at home during the day, but he needs plenty of quality time when you get home. The ideal home for Extra Friend would have an array of exciting toys to play with and loving humans who can match him when it comes to showing affection.

Extra Friend has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Extra Friend can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
