Snuggly, Happy, Social

Meet Professor Plum! This sweet lady's coat is SO incredibly soft and silky!

Professor Plum might just be the most affectionate cat you'll ever meet! She purrs nonstop and loves lots and lots of snuggle time. She wants to be near you all the time (she's always close so a bit of a trip hazard in the best way!), rubbing against your feet, giving loving head butts, and kneading biscuits with her paws. She also makes the most adorable small chirps when she wants your attention but is never annoying about it (she's far too cute and sweet!). This girl is definitely the whole package -- animated, friendly, happy, and super cuddly!

Professor Plum's ideal home would be one where she is living with humans who will let her love on them! She is low maintenance and not afraid of anything, so she could adapt well to any household. She is coexisting well with the resident dog in her foster home (who is small and has lots of cat experience) -- they do not play or snuggle but have had a few curious sniffs and zero scuffles. She hasn't yet had much interaction with other cats or kids, but due to her sweet, gentle nature, we imagine that it would be an extremely positive experience. Professor Plum must remain an indoor only cat due to his FeLV status (see below), but it works out because she'll want to be right by your side in the house all day anyways!

Professor Plum has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Professor Plum can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
